Dengan paket software (software platform) ini, pembuat humanoid robot dapat mencoba dulu kontroler robot yang didesainnya, sebelum mencobanya pada robot aslinya. Dengan demikian, humanoid robot aslinya (hardware platform) dapat dihindarkan dari kerusakan fatal akibat salah desain.

Seperti diketahui, untuk simulasi benda-benda secara realistis (physically realistic simulation) umumnya membutuhkan kecepatan komputer yang sangat tinggi.
